Cynthia James-White, best known as Ms. White, has been in the healthcare industry for 31 years in various capacities, such as acute care and long term care. Ms. White worked her way up the ranks, and has been a successful Director of Nursing for thirteen years. She strongly believes in educating, coaching and mentoring her staff to their fullest potential, which exhibits the best quality outcomes. She utilizes clinical skills and knowledge in managing medical conditions in collaboration with the medical team in order to avoid frequent hospitalizations for patients/residents to benefit their quality of life. Ms. White’s educational background includes an associate’s degree in Nursing from Borough of Manhattan College, a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from SUNY Down State, and a Master’s degree as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Gerontology from SUNY Down State. She also has credentials with American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), as a Patient Review Instrument Assessor and screener, and MDS/RAI instructor/Coordinator and Mock survey Consultant. Ms. White has demonstrated her leadership abilities by successfully achieving deficiency free DOH surveys and Five Star ratings.
