Director of Social Services
Ramón Welsh was born and raised in the Republic of Panamá and migrated to United States as a teenager. Ramón received his Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Empire State College, and his Master's in Social Work from Hunter College. He is a credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor with a specialty in Gambling Treatment (CASAC-G). Ramón has over 20 years of experience working as a Substance Abuse Counselor, Supervisor, and Clinical Coordinator working with adolescents and adults impacted by addiction, criminal justice, and mental health issues. This includes his role as a Clinical Director for New York Foundling, an outpatient program that provided mental and substance abuse services for adults (mostly women,) and their children, mandated by Administration of Children Services. Eventually Ramon transitioned into Nursing Homes where he became a highly regarded Director of Social Services.
