Director of Food Services
Franz graduated in 2019 with a master's degree in Public Administration Long-term Care from Mercy College. Before joining The Phoenix in April 2022, he served as the Food service Director, where he was instrumental in growing revenues for millions of dollars, more than 2 percent during three years. His migration to the United States presented many opportunities and challenges, he worked as a truck driver for eight months and then had to leave his comfortable home to sleep anywhere. Determined to succeed, he enrolled in Monroe College for a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management with a concentration in Culinary Arts. Returning to school in the forties was not easy; it required hard work and discipline. The ability to be open-minded and flexible leads him to be a positive role model, to inspire and encourage everyone to get an education. He also desires to give back to his community by mentoring and working with older people with a disability. His great passion is bringing healing to people who have been through a traumatic, stressful experience.
