Details of Experience:
Ms. Wang was admitted to The Phoenix Rehabilitation & Nursing Center by her son on November 12th, 2019, from Maimonides Medical Center for recovery after left Ureteral surgery on November 8, 2019. As an effect of the ureteral stent placement, the patient was unable to walk.

When Ms. Wang was admitted, she was immediately greeted by the nursing team. The next day, she met with the concierge team and was presented with a welcome gift. Follow up evaluations were conducted with her son-in-law and granddaughter in her room. Each department member including speech therapy, housekeeping, social work, recreation, as well as rehabilitation arrived to personally welcome her and initiate an evaluation. Ms. Wang’s diet was a regular consistency.

After just a few days of being on therapy, she was able to safely perform bed mobility tasks independently without the usage of side rails and even had reduced risk for falls. Ms. Wang continued with her therapy towards recovery; she enjoyed her therapy treatment every day. Our social services team began to plan her safe trip back home, ensuring follow-up and scheduling of continued services.

Ms. Jingjing Lin, her granddaughter, shared, “Ms. Wang is doing very well, she does not need any help at home!”
